D-Mannose is a naturally occurring sugar manufactured from wood-based or other biomass hydrolysates using an aqueous chromatographic separation process. It has wide spectrum of applications such as, pharmaceutical agents (Mother’s milk substitutes, anti-malaria vaccines, anti-inflammatory as well as anti-cancer agents), treatment of genetic disease (glycoprotein disorder), urinary tract infections. It also has been explored in cosmetics for anti-inflammatory and moisturizing effect.
