Lactoferrine

Lactoferrine (formerly known as lactotransferrin) is a glycoprotein and a member of transferrin family, thus belonging to those proteins capable of binding and transferring Fe3+ ions. It is naturally found in many bodily secretions, including milk, tears, mucus, blood and saliva.
